Eric Rea
Principal
Prior to joining Emerald Lake, Mr. Rea worked in the Private Equity Group at Ares Management for 11 years culminating in a Principal role.
During his time at Ares, Mr. Rea focused on multiple sectors and transaction types, playing a senior role in leveraged buyout and distressed transactions in industrials, business services, healthcare, and consumer/retail. While at Ares, Mr. Rea served as a member of the Board of Directors of numerous companies including The Aspen Group, Unified Women’s Healthcare, and Ob Hospitalist Group. Prior to joining Ares, Mr. Rea was an Analyst at Lazard, where he focused on M&A and restructuring across various industries.
Mr. Rea holds a B.S. degree with high honors from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
